An Old Collage

Back in college when I was testing all the waters trying to find my favorite choice of medium to make images with I whipped up this little collage.  Eventually I graduated and gave it to my friend Lee.  Aside from some fun pieces I did when I worked stock at the Gap I've never really connected with the idea of collage nor have I really cared for any of my attempts at it.  This one though I've always kind of enjoyed.  It's all held together with orange acrylic paint on a flat little canvas board.  It has no title.  I wish it did though.

Pixelmator 1.4

I did some playing around with the new brush features in the latest release of Pixelmator (v1.4).  My favorite part which I try to illustrate in the screenshots is the preview of your brush as you slide the diameter slider from small to large and back again.  It's a nice touch.

Mraf on a MinoHD

Since my Canon broke I've had a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to buying a new digital video camera. Then I saw a Mino. Hopefully it won't be too long before I can have my own personal mraf version of one. I'll have to start working on a good design.

Mraf to Nova - The Field Notes Project

Serving the Field Notes ball back into Micah Nova's court!  The Nova&Mraf Collaboration Project continues onward!  I added content to some of the original pages and created three new pages.  I found the graph paper an interesting surface to draw on.  Sometimes it constricted me and sometimes it guided me.   Even though I made no changes to page one I'm going to include it here for reference.  I also created a Flickr Set.

Debian 5.0 Released

Debian1wu8
Almost forgot to mention that Debian (the mother of Ubuntu Linux) released version 5.0 last Saturday (Feb. 14th).  Looks like it's full of a lot of great updates and features.  Debian linux has a special place in the nerdy part of my heart for being the only distribution I have ever successfully installed on my PowerPC Macintosh computers.

Music About . . .

My friend Chris (from work) recently introduced me to Parry Gripp.  A man from a band named Nerf Herder who started his own project writing little jingles that are inspired by the ridiculous user-generated-content that litters the internet.   It's good stuff.
